The TNSSAR Eagle competition and the NSSAR competition
are open to all Eagle Scouts who are currently registered
in an active unit and have not reached their 19th
birthday during the year of application. (The current
2012 contest year is 01 Jan 2012 to 31 Dec 2012). College

the cash scholarship.

The Tennessee State Society Competition
The Tennessee State Society award is $500.00 with
the winner being entered in the National Eagle Scout
competition as the TNSSAR's representative. Further
awards may be made by the Chapter to their winner. Entrants need to complete only one application --
the one for the Chapter competition. If it is a winner
it is then used for the State competition and, if it
is a winner again, it is then used for the National
competition.
Note: Applications are accepted
during a calendar year for Scholarships to be awarded
in the Spring of the following year from Eagle Scouts
who have not attained the age of 19 years old during
that calendar year. Applications must be submitted through
local Chapters first. If sent directly to the State
Chairman, they will be returned to the applicants. If
necessary, Scouts should contact the State Chairman
for the chapter nearest him. The Tennessee State Chairman
sets the specific deadline for receipt of applications.
Applications must be received by the designated Chapter
no later than 31 December 2013.
Deadline for Chapter
submission to State Chairman is Jan. 15, 2014.
Applications are to be sent to the appropriate TNSSAR
Chapter. To determine which Chapter area you are in
go to our Chapter/District
