Happy New Year to the TNSSAR Ladies Auxiliary! We are excited to welcome 2024, and we start with the Board of Governors on January 27 in Franklin. The BOG will be held at the Williamson County Library, 1314 Columbia Pike in Franklin. It starts at 10am, and the Auxiliary will start its meeting at the same time. We will be meeting in the Special Collections meeting room which I understand isn’t very large, but we also have an overflow room from which we can zoom. Our speaker for the morning is Deborah Peercy, a resident of Franklin and a genealogist for decades. She is well known to the lineage societies and has helped many with papers to DAR and SAR. Deborah will be talking to us about Cecily Baley Jordan Farrar, Ancient Planter of Virginia. Cecily and “ancient planter” were both new to me, so I am excited to hear what Deborah has to say. We will also hold a quick business meeting at the State Meeting and next BOG, March 15-16. I encourage all of you to put that date on your calendars and come to Cleveland to support TNSSAR. Because of limited space in Franklin, please RSVP to me so we will know how to plan. We look forward to seeing all of you on the 27th to “make new friends and deepen older friendships!”
